Can we have more than 100 Items in
a sub-division? Add up to 100 sub-divisions per
division and 1,000 Items per subdivision with our Wide Item format. This
is an optional feature in our Entry and Basic Level but a standard
feature in the Intermediate and Advanced systems. Can I print proposals with the estimating
system? Proposal writing is a word processing function and Estimating is mainly a number crunching program. That said if your proposal report needs are fairly simple EasyEst does have 4 pre-designed proposal reports available and if you have our "Custom Report Designer" you can customize these reports or even design your own. You may also consider creating a standard proposal form with your word processing program, then in your proposal refer to see attached exhibit A. "Exhibit A" can be any report from the estimating system. Can I import
pricing data like R.S. Means? Since EasyEst
Estimating is so flexible it means that you can add or copy items,
change their location, item number or description. Because of this
flexibility it is impossible to import data without over writing all the
customizing you have done to your very valuable data. Can I use Items from different Price Books
in a bid? To add Items to a bid that you are
currently working on, first save the bid, then change to the Price Book
you want to get Items from and open any bid. Next open the Select Items
Price Book screen and transfer all items you want to the Item Worksheet
in the bottom section (Do not move them to the bid). With the Items you
want to have in the original bid still in the Item Worksheet area, from
there change back to the Bid and Price Book you want these Items in.
When the original bid is on the screen click on the Select Items Price
Book button on the side bar. You should see the Items from the other
Price Book in the bottom Item Worksheet section. Move them to the bid to
finish. Can I use the
exact CSI Item numbers? Not at the present time.
You can usually get the Items close to the right division and
sub-division. |
